The weather did not help us at the islands, it was a little bumpy to say the least, but hat didn’t stop us from getting limits of great fish to fill the bags. Only a few handfuls of lingcod, with our conditions we manly focused on rockfish.

It was so good out there today, I would’ve bought a ticket. We headed across with a so-so weather report and when we made it across the channel it was really good weather. Plenty to see over there too, whales and dolphins from first stop of the day to the last stop. The day was really really good. Bait worked best, only a few fish on the artificial. Good afternoon, captain Sal checking in after another great day. We went to a different area today looking for lingcod and in the mix of them was quality rockfish that were BITING!!! It was a great mix big rockfish and lings!!!! Our anglers are going home with jumbo sacs. Come on out and get you some!! We have room next week.

Wide-open on jumbo rockfish, we did two stops in deep water for some incredible rockfish fishing. Jumbo reds, grouper’s, and other nice rockfish in the mix, including some canaries. We also caught a few lingcod. Then we drove into some shallow water and caught some sheep head and white fish. I couldn’t ask for it to be much better. The fish bit on jigs and anything else you drop down there.

Today we made it happen, had a little adversity due to the weather. We fished in deeper water to start off, which gave us limits of rockfish - chili peppers, groupers, Boscos, all kinds of neat stuff like that. Then we slid inside, caught some white fish and called it a day. Overall turned out to be a very good day of fishing.

With the channel being bumpy, we decided to stay local and give the guys and the younger anglers an enjoyable and comfortable day of fishing. Steady fishing today, can’t say anything was completely wide-open, but very steady. We caught fish on jigs and of course Bait was king today. We started off shallow, working their way out deeper. Caught fish on every spot, did OK on lingcod.

The beat goes on in our local zone. Todays group enjoyed yet another day of ripper Sandbass and Calico fishing in gorgeous weather. Quite a bit of Barracuda around with everything, but reluctant to bite anything with a hook in it. We ended the day with limits of bass and a few other odds and ends to go along with it. Great day on the water with a great group of folks.
