Great local fishing for the guys and gals today. We started off with some good bass fishing releasing lots of shorts but put on a good amount of legals. Shot out deep and threw on some RF then searched for BFT but they pulled a no show. Back out tomorrow.

Despite best efforts by everybody on board today, we all had a collegiate level lesson in big game fishing. It’s all or nothing. Unfortunately, today we were not able to land any bluefin. That’s not to say there weren’t tons of fish all over the place, because there was! Tomorrow we are 1/2 day fishing for calicos, sand bass, whitefish, rockfish, and whatever else wants to play. Our 3/4 day trips on Thursday and Friday are going to continue pursuing those big blue footballs. A 40–60 LB outfit will suffice. 120 g – 150 g colt snipers, 4–6 ounce jigs, surface irons are all safe choices to bring with you. Well the guys gave it hell today. Good company but the BFT were being BFT and wanted nothing to do with us. We did see enough fish to have a good day which was pretty cool. Hopefully they stick around our local waters. We threw on some cod at the end of the day and headed for the barn. We’ll check back in tomorrow.

Very interesting day today we caught our limit of rockfish and then went tuna fishing and caught a couple of very nice bluefin tuna. We also had a few casualties. No fault of anybody, the hook pulled. This is a first for me, catching bluefin tuna inside the Santa Barbara Channel, right in our backyard!
The Stardust is a go tomorrow with plenty of room. Both boats will be fishing for blue fin tomorrow. As long as the fish are out there, we will give it a shot on 3/4 day trips. Bring your HEAVY GEAR. 65 pound braid, 80 pound mono.

Another stellar day at the islands, start to finish very good fishing, both rockfish and whitefish and a handful of lingcod. They ate everything today. We even saw school of BLUEFIN TUNA in the channel!! We’ll see what tomorrow has in store. If I see those things tomorrow we’re gonna be properly armed to get them.

Good afternoon, Sal checking in after a great weekend of fishing the islands. We had a charter with boys scouts today and they got really nice bags of rockfish. We had great quality and everyone had a blast.

Very good private charter today. We looked at the weather report and we took a chance and went across and it worked out pretty good. Some days are like that. We started off with very very good fishing on many different kinds of rockfish. Also, we had a good whitefish bite mixed in with the rockfish today. With some lingcod everybody got what they needed and we headed for the barn. What a great day. our 18 anglers caught 180 rockfish 72 whitefish and 10 lingcod.

Different day today at the islands, extremely calm no current to speak of we had to make a few adjustments and then it was game on. Once again, using Bait is far superior to anything else not to see jigs and other lures weren’t working, but Bait was the key. Started off a little deeper this morning, with not much success because of the lack of current. Then we went in shallow and proceeded to put the wood to a huge variety of fish today.
