Good afternoon folks and Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads out there. Coming in here after a absolutely gorgeous day of weather over at Santa Rosa Island today.

The fishing was slower today we fished a ton of spots. Some spots bit ok with some reds and whitefish. The cut bait worked the best. The jigs did not work at all today. We fished shallow all day.

We fished a ton of spots that did not bite good until the very last one. It was a very slow pick all day with some nice fish in the mix. The last drift we threw on 90 of our fish. The cut bait worked the best.

We started our morning scratching away at nice browns and Reds however the current caused so many tangles things weren’t adding up trying to focus on the smaller stones.

With the exception of one small ridge our day consisted of very scratchy fishing. We looked in the deeper water and found there to be no mark worth stopping on until we made our way shallow.

We started out deep and picked only a few this morning. We worked our way shallower and found some fish that wanted to bite. The fishing we had was not wide open but 90% of the fish we caught where in the last two hours.

We fished a ton of spots and areas and never got a boat bender. We picked picked every spot and every zone. We got a mixed bag of rockfish and whitefish. The squid and the live bait worked the best.

We stayed in the shallower water for the day and picked away at misc fish throughout the day with most of what we caught being Reds with yellowtail Rockfish, browns and Coppers as well.

We had a lot of current all day that made fishing a challenge but we made it work. The squid and live bait worked the best. We did catch a few on the jig. We only got a few reds but a lot of chucks.

Our group stuck with it the entire day and in the last couple spots we managed to find a couple spots that kicked out some fun action all in overall beautiful weather. The live anchovy was by far the most effective throughout the day.
