Coral Sea 3/4 day 7.22.22

Capt. Merit - Today we fished west of Santa Barbara along the Gaviota Coast. We found a spot with a pile of big reds and bocaccio in deeper water and that was most of our catch. 10 oz. and live anchovies on double dropper gear worked best.
We ended up with limits again, 180 rockfish, with 52 reds, and a couple of lings. The weather was nice -- calm, with some swell rolling in from the islands.

Today we caught some jumbos after we just managed to get across. We had excellent fishing on Reds and groupers and some other stuff.

Extremely fun day of fishing on our 3/4 day. We saw tons of whales and dolphins on the way out and on the way back in. Fishing was very steady with outstanding quality on rockfish and a couple of lingcod Who wouldn’t love a day like this!

Good afternoon, heading in from a 1/2 day trip. We went exploring today and ran into black cod , rockfish and had a great day. We had excellent weather and calm seas. Our trips next week are lite so book your spot!!!

It was a nice day out on the ocean, nice calm seas, great fishing the whole ball of wax. Started off in some mid depth water, ended up shallow trying to catch some whitefish. The rockfish were amazing today Nice Biggins.

Good afternoon, heading in from a local 1/2 day charter. Lots of fun with some local chefs! We spent most of the day looking for bass and they wouldn’t bite. The last couple of hours we fished for rockfish and ended up with nice fish.
