Today there was strong Santa Ana winds over the eastern islands and we ran a long way to find calm water, ending up at the western end of Santa Rosa Island. Fishing was good, with some nice reds and whitefish in deeper water, then very shallow later. Our 24 anglers caught:

165 ocean whitefish

1 sheephead

We had a great day fishing and camaraderie. Watching these guys fish and laugh all day was so rewarding. We had a mixed bag with a great show of some nice lingcod.

Good afternoon, heading in from an excellent day. Everything was JUMBO today!! We went out for lingcod and big rockfish. We got exactly that, our bags are stuffed to the top with great quality!!!
