Stardust 3/4 Day 12.8.17
Hey folks, just heading in from a great 3/4 day trip out at the islands. The ocean was absolutely flat calm, we didn’t see a single swell all day. The smoke from the fire was still visible but the air quality off shore was far better then onshore and was completely tolerable for our entire day.
Coral sea 3/4 day 12.6.17
We started out deep and did OK, then we went shallow and did good, and then we ended deep. We had excellent quality fish, but it Took all day. We never got on a wide-open bite it was just a steady pic.
12.4.17 3/4 day Coral Sea
The fish bit the anchovies and squid the best. The mega bait worked good on a few stops. We fished shallow most of the day and it bit the best. We had really nice quality chucks and white fish and good numbers.
12.3.17 3/4 day Stardust
With the exception of only a few stops throughout the day we had steady fishing on nice Reds and Coppers with a few assorted Rockfish ( Groupers, Widows and Chilipeppers).
12.3.17 1/2 day Coral Sea
We are on are way back in from a half day. We had amazing weather and good fishing.
We decided to fish deep water and that was a good call
12.2.17 3/4 day Stardust
We started our day out in the deeper water trying many different areas. We had a couple stones around mid morning that showed promising sign of hungry Lingcod however the action was extremely short lived
12.2.17 3/4 day Coral Sea
We started out in Deepwater looking for lingcod and did not get any. We started working our way shallower and it was a slow pick all day. What we did manage to catch was really nice quality, but the numbers were not like normal
Stardust 3/4 Day 12.1.17
We headed across this morning with 22 anglers on board and started in between the islands for our morning. We had a good first half of our day steadily picking away and excellent quality Coppers, a few Reds and a few Lingcod on every spot we tried. Around noon everything became baited out and we headed out a little deeper for the afternoon.
Stardust 3/4 Day 11.30.17
Tough fishing for us today folks. We headed across this morning with 22 anglers and a nice weather forecast.
Upon arriving at the island it quickly became apparent that the looping westerly swell had things completely shut off.
