Coral Sea 3/4 day 7.23.21

I know I sound like a broken record, but fishing continues to be really really good and steady. We had to go up the coast one more day, it looks like tomorrow the weather is going to give us a break to get to the islands. Today the fish bit jigs a little bit for the guys using them, other than that the standard anchovy squid combo was deadly.

Good afternoon everybody, another great day up the coast. The islands were just out of the question today weather was way up, but we had some extraordinary fishing up the coast today.

Had a great 3/4 day trip up the coast, started off a little slow little scratchy and then it picked up pretty steady for about three straight hours. Bait was the key today. The Squid strip and anchovy combo got lots of reds, grouper and chuckleheads. As we’re heading in we’re enjoying an amazing show on dolphins!

Good afternoon, heading in from a 1/2 day charter. They wanted enough fish for a big fish fry and that’s what we got them. We had excellent quality and a really fun time.

The Van Wingerden family came out last week and sent us some of their pictures from the trip. The jackpot winner was their daughter Erika, and she won last time she was out as well!

Today was one of those days where the jumbos came out to play. Big reds, big Boscos, big groupers bankies and chilies. We fished the deep today and it paid off. It was nice to see a variety of things working today, jigs many different kinds that were 6 to 8 ounces. Shrimp flies and the standard anchovy squid combo.
