Lingcod bite at Santa Rosa Island

Posted On: May 25, 2016 at 11:46 PM

Rocking and rolling our way back to the dock this afternoon folks after a fun day of fishing the north side of Santa Rosa island. A last minute decision to point the bow of the Coral Sea towards SRI and not up the coast resulted in an interesting day of fishing that can best be described as 'refreshing'!

The weather across the pond was as predicted and we were able to get a few good hours of fishing in until the refreshing part of the day slowly took over...Regardless, we kept at it and stumbled across some good grade reds and coppers as well as some very nice- sized ling cod today. Our passengers today were awesome and all fished hard until the very end!

Our 25 anglers today caught 64 reds, 81 copper rockfish, 14 misc. rockfishes, and 42 lingcod. The Coral Sea has 1/2 day trips scheduled on Friday and Sunday while the Stardust has 3/4 day trips scheduled for Thursday, Friday, and Sunday and Monday. Please call Sea Landing at 805-963-3564 and make your reservations today!
