Santa Rosa Island Suprise!
Good afternoon anglers, we are making our way back across the channel after a fun filled day of productive fishing at Santa Rosa Island today.
Today we fished anywhere from 180 -270 feet of water. Our morning was scratchy on nice Coppers with a few Reds and Lingcod in the mix however around mid day we saw a noticeable pulse in activity and had a couple drifts that yielded almost straight Reds anywhere from 2-3.25lb. Our our second to last drift we had a surprise when long time regular Manny Lemos caught a 19 lb King Salmon.
Beautiful weather and great fishing as our 21 anglers ended the day with 76 Reds, 121 Coppers, 13 assorted rockfish, 26 Lingcod, 1 Whitefish and 1 King Salmon.
The Coral Sea is 3/4 Day tomorrow and the Stardust is 1/2 Day fishing as well with room available. Call Sea Landing at 805 963-3564 to make reservation.
