3/4 Day Coastal

Heading in after a fun day of rockfish fishing up the coast. Our 23 anglers ended up with 225 reds & 5 rockfish. Very steady fishing for the reds in 290-330' of water. A little bumpy conditions today with 4-6' of NW swell & 12-15 kts of breeze but the anglers nor the fish seemed to mind...

All our fish were that medium grade of reds we refer to as 'steamers', weighing between 2-2.75 lbs. Squid strips on double dropper loops with 12 oz sinkers worked best once again today. Those anglers using thin wire circle hooks & 25+ yards of #25-30 mono top-shot consistently came up with double reds
