Stardust 3/4 Day Trip

Heading in here after an excellent day of fishing across at Santa Rosa Island today. The weather was gorgeous with overcast conditions most of the day.

We started our day in the deeper water and had fast paced action right away on a great mix of Rockfish. Our group did an excellent job and kept there gear going down quickly taking full advantage of the cooperative fish. The live anchovy worked well today however the stripped squid seemed to help for cleaner drifts on the reds. We left the deeper water needing a few more Rockfish and were lucky enough to find a good spot of Whitefish that wanted to bite and we got a nice go around to add some diversity to the bags.

Our 37 anglers keeping fish ended the day with 137 Reds, 233 Assorted rockfish( Coppers, widows, yellowtail Rockfish, Boccaccio), 135 Whitefish and 13 Lingcod.
