Stardust 3/4 Day 12.8.17
Hey folks, just heading in from a great 3/4 day trip out at the islands. The ocean was absolutely flat calm, we didn’t see a single swell all day. The smoke from the fire was still visible but the air quality off shore was far better then onshore and was completely tolerable for our entire day.
We hit the deep water stuff today and found biting rockfish right away. The quality of the fish we caught today was amazing. Most of our rockfish were big coopers and reds with an occasional mixed rockfish.
We also got into some areas today that produced some nice Lingcod throughout our drifts. We limited out on our rockfish and did a few more drifts to try and get a few more Lingcod on board before we had to call it a day. In the end our passengers were stoked with their bags and are now enjoying cheeseburgers and cold beers on the ride in.
For our 15 passengers we ended up with 95 coppers, 35 reds and 20 assorted rockfish with 21 Lingcod.
