Stardust 3/4 day 7.2.17

Hello everybody here is your 3/4 day report for the stardust. We headed over to Santa Rosa island this morning with a great weather forecast for the day. We fished fairly shallow today with our sights set on lingcod and bigger rockfish. Our first few drifts were a good shake down with a full boat. We sorted through lots of tangles but our passengers got the hang of things and then we really started to catch some fish.

Our afternoon was the best, with slow currents and virtually no wind or swell we put together long drifts where we pulled up tons of huge coppers and some very impressive lingcod.we fished hard throughout the day and ended up with amazing bags for our anglers to take home. The weather stayed nice all day and our people had a blast. The best bait was the live anchovy on a dropper loop but the jigs were getting bit very well also.

For our 40 passengers we caught 180 copper rockfish, 37 assorted rockfish, 1 sheepshead, 1 cabezon and 68 lingcod. The stardust is full for tomorrows 1/2 day trip but TUESDAY HAS A VERY LITE LOAD, Wednesday too. Please make advanced reservations for upcoming trips on our website or call the Sea landing at 805-963-3564.
