Coral Sea 3/4 Day trip

Good afternoon anglers. Another beautiful day of weather across at the islands again with 23 anglers on board.

We started off our morning looking for the Lingcod again and it was very steady action for the first hour or so until we left them to go try to supplement the bags with some rockfish. A lot like yesterday we found the rockfish reluctant to bite until late in the day when we had a couple spots rattle our gear with big Coppers and a few reds ending up with a nice day and plenty of fish for our group to take home.

Very noticeable today those fishing with only a short topshot of monofilament on there spectra suffered a lot of casualties due to no stretch. The Anchovie worked the best as well as the medium sized 4-6 oz assault jigs.

Our 23 anglers ended the day with 136 Coppers, 35 Reds, 39 assorted rockfish, 1 whitefish and 46 Lingcod.
