Coral Sea 12.30.16 3/4 day

Posted On: Dec 31, 2016 at 12:48 AM

Hello everybody we're just heading in right now, here is your Coral Sea 3/4 day report. We stayed along the coast today due to some signs of weather at the islands. We fished a ways away from home today in an area we haven't been too in a while but it payed off. We had excellent weather and fishing conditions today with minor currents and no wind.

Our morning bite was very good and remained that way for quite some time. We caught lots of reds and coppers along with a couple whitefish and lingcod. We put a lot of fish on the boat in a short amount of time which made for very fun fishing in fairly shallow water. Our afternoon did slow down a bit and we had to work for our last fish of the day but we are heading in with a nice catch and happy anglers.

For our 25 people we got limits of rockfish including 120 reds with 75 coppers and 55 assorted rockfish, 1 sheepshead, 7 ocean whitefish and 7 lingcod. Our last day of this season is tomorrow and we are fully booked up but we do return to fishing March 1st of the new year, hope to see you all here soon!
