Coral Sea 12.20.16 3/4 day
Good afternoon anglers, here is your 3/4 day report for the coral sea. Were are heading back across from the islands right now as the crew works hard processing fish and cooking lots of cheeseburgers. We set out this morning in search of lingcod and had a small success throughout a number of spots in the shallower water. We caught medium size lings along with some chucklehead rockfish.
We decided to look out in the deeper water around noon in hopes to get some of the bigger reds and copper rockfish. We hit a number of spots, most of which were about the same in fish numbers. We did get into two spots during that time where we put on some extremely good quality reds and chucks as well as a couple more lings. Our count for today with our 25 anglers is 45 reds, 55 copper with 107 miscellaneous rockfish and 35 lingcod.
We are all full for tomorrow's 3/4 day trip but still have some room on Thursday's 1/2 day trip. The coral sea is private chartered on Friday but both stardust and coral sea will be running 3/4 day trips everyday after Christmas until the end of the year. Feel free to book your spots online or call the Sealanding at 805-963-3564.
