Hello anglers, we got off the dock this morning with 18 eager anglers we decided to head up the coast with the weather across the pond forecasted to be very windy today. Both nice weather and very steady fishing from the start of our day till it was time to head for home.
We fished from 260- 280 feet and had some very fun action packed drifts on almost straight Reds. The bulk of our fish were 2-2.5 lbs with 20% being a notch bigger up to 3.25lbs. Very fun fishing with everyone listening to the crews suggestions using circle hooks on double dropper loops with 12 ounce sinkers with 2 or 3 thin strips of squid on each hook resulting in lots of doubles.
Our totals for today for our 18 fisherman is 174 Reds and 6 Rockfish.
Both boats are a go for tomorrow with the Stardust running a 3/4 Day and the Coral Sea running a half day trip ad well. Both boats have light loads so please call Sea Landing at 805 963-3564 for a reservation or feel free to just show up in the morning. Great fishing folks hope to see you soon !
