Stardust rockfish Limits up the Coast
Good afternoon folks, we are headed towards home with our 22 happy anglers after having a fun productive day of rock fishing up the coast.
After the past week of high winds the weather finally gave us a break and although it was a very bumpy ride up when got to the area the ocean flattened out a bit and stayed nice for us all day. The bulk of the catch today for us was 1.75-2.25 lb Red with a couple drifts producing some great quality Coppers as well. We fished mainly in 260-280 feet most of the day after finding the deeper water completely void of marks.
The guys fishing monofilament with properly spaced double dropper loops and a 12 oz sinker produced steadily all day. The circle hooks certainly seemed to help as well.
Our 22 anglers are taking home 176 Reds, 35 Coppers and 9 misc. Rockfish.
